Beginning
on Thursday, July 15, 2004 , the Santa
Rosa Sheriff's Office will hold a firearm safety
class for the citizens of Santa Rosa County to
familiarize them with the Florida Statutes as
well as the safe operation of their handguns.
The
class will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on
Thursday, July 15, 2004 , from 8:00 AM
to 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2004
.
Both
classes will be held at the Sheriff's Office Gun
Range with Sergeant Bart Bray as the instructor.
Successful completion of this course can be used
when applying for a
"concealed weapons permit."
Students
will need to bring their own handguns and at least
fifty (50)
rounds of ammunition. An application
is required for registration plus a background
record check on all students.
