Learn proper safety measures for riding in a car, a bus, or on a bicycle. Learn safety rules for when you are home alone and how to dial 911 in an emergency. Learn what "stranger danger" is all about. The safety of the children in any community is the responsibility of all adults and kids alike. The Santa Rosa Co.   Ride quietly on the bus.

Do not distract the bus driver

Do not change seats or move about while the bus is running

Bicycle Safety:

Wear light clothing if riding at night, wear reflectors

Ride in the same direction as the vehicles

Learn the traffic signs: stop, yield, curve, etc.

Keep both hands on the handlebars

  Only one rider per bicycle

Have a light and reflectors on your bike

  Use caution, good judgment, courtesy

Stranger Danger:

Don't talk to strangers, accept gifts from strangers or get into their cars
