Santa Rosa Deputy Wins Iron Cop Title

Santa Rosa Deputy Matt Spratt was awarded the title of "Iron Cop" at the Second Annual Whiting Field Law Enforcement Competition held on February 25, 2006. Officers from the entire area entered the competition that included such events as a 1.5 mile run, bench press, obstacle course, firearm simulator contest, physical abilities test, firearms, push ups, situps, physical agility, and pull ups. The top three officers with the most points were awarded trophies for their physical skills and marksmanship. The Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office entered four officers in the competition to include Deputies Matt Spratt, Thomas Enfinger, I. D. Brewton, and Brian Miller. Of these four deputies Spratt won the contest in push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and the bench press earning himself the overall title of "Iron Cop." Deputy Enfinger won the competition in the firearm simulator contest. Sheriff Wendell Hall and the personnel of the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office would like to congratulate all of our deputies who competed and took part in the festivities and especially Spratt and Enfinger for a job well done in bringing recognition to the entire department.
