Local
businessman Donny M. John's, owner of Caroline's Seafood Market
at 4568 Gulf Breeze Parkway, sent a heartfelt letter to Sheriff
Wendell Hall on the excellent job his agency did in solving the
burglary of his establishment last year. Mr. John's wrote that,
"not often enough do we hear good things about those who have
chosen to protect, however I felt compelled to let you know of a
different story." He further wrote that, "my store was
burglarized and because of a poor performing alarm monitoring company
police were never dispatched. I called in my report and Officer
(George) Hawkins with a CSI tech (Terry Davis) came and took all
necessary information in a very timely/professional manner. Approximately
three hours later I was contacted, the thief was apprehended and
some of my items retrieved. Upon my arrival I was informed that
the case had been solved by Detective Pete Blow. This individual's
hard work, dedication, professionalism and community involvement/knowledge
was instrumental in solving not only my burglary but the burglary
of the local Texaco fuel station. After my interaction with Detective
Blow I believe that he should be commended for his fine work as
well as for setting an example for others to follow. (Sheriff Hall)
You have a fine, dedicated employee in Detective Blow who should
be commended and thanked by both his superiors and the community.
In closing, you Sir should also be commended for the quality and
dedication of your employees. I as a local constituent would like
to extend my thanks to you and all of your employees who worked
this crime for a great job well done. Keep up the good work and
god Bless Santa Rosa County and its law enforcement personnel."
