Citizens
of Santa Rosa County just completed a two day gun course safety
course that was held at the sheriff's office on March 6th and 7th.
Sergeant Bart Bray and Sergeant Scott Haines provided the training
for twelve citizens in the safe handling of firearms complete with
a night on the range. Sheriff Wendell Hall provides this training
to the itizens of the county four times per year as advertised on
the agency's website. The course consists of eight hours of training
in the various types of weapons, the nomenclature of pistols, marksmanship,
safe handling of weapons, and the legal requirements of carrying
firearms.
