Sheriff's Investigators Asking For Public's Help Concerning Armed Robbery in Milton

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Milton this afternoon. On 10-28-07at approximately 1255 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Reddy's Convenience Store located at 6500 Highway 87 North in regards to a robbery that had just occurred. When deputies arrived on scene, they met with the store clerk, who stated that a white male entered the store wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head. He was also wearing blue jeans and black shoes. The clerk remembered that the suspect had dark colored hair and light stubble on his face. The clerk told deputies that the suspect approached the counter and stated that it was a robbery, and demanded all of the money that was located inside the cash register. While making this statement he had his left hand under his shirt as if he were holding a weapon and held his right hand out to receive the money. After giving the subject the money, the suspect told the clerk to stand at the end of the counter and to not move. The suspect then exited the store through the same door that he entered and ran around the south end of the building. The clerk then saw a late model maroon mini van leave the parking lot onto Highway 87 North and then continue north on Highway 87. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Investigators have found a person of interest that they need to question concerning the robbery. This person is identified as Andy Delaney Lockart, W/M, 9/8/1967. Anyone that has information concerning the robbery or the whereabouts of Lockart is asked to call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office at 983-1190 or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP.
