Sheriff's Investigators Asking For Public's Help in Locating Felony Drug Suspects

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the publics help in locating two suspects that are wanted for numerous felony charges relating to the production of methamphetamine and abuse of the elderly. On October 25, 2007, Sheriff's Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at the home located in the 4200 Block of Seaport Road, Pace, Florida. This home belongs to one of the suspect's (Jerry Ricks, 36 years old) parents who are both elderly. Jerry Ricks and his girlfriend (Amity Rogers (28 years old) both live together in a bedroom at that location. When the search warrant was executed, Ricks' step father was present inside the home. Ricks' mother also lives there and is in poor health. She told investigators that she has noticed an unusual smell lately that has caused her more difficultly breathing. Ricks' parents were not aware of the fact that Ricks and his girlfriend were manufacturing methamphetamine inside their bedroom at the residence. The search warrant revealed numerous items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Also located were numerous pictures of both suspects inside the residence on Seaport Road. In these photographs, both suspects are engaged in criminal activity involving the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Also located was 108 grams of liquid methamphetamine oil, which is the key element in making methamphetamine. Neither Ricks nor Rogers were present at the time of the search warrant. Deputies have since obtained felony warrants for the arrest of both suspects on the below mentioned charges. Ricks is considered armed and dangerous. There whereabouts are currently not known.
