Brewton Alabama Man In Custody After Being Busted With Crack Cocaine

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Narcotic's Unit has arrested a Brewton man following his attempted delivery of crack cocaine to a residence in Jay. Narcotic's Detectives had been investigating Darren Green and his activities surrounding illegal drug activity. After receiving information about a drug deal that Green was en route to, they were able to intercept Green as he arrived at the residence. When Green saw the deputies, he attempted to dispose of the crack cocaine, which was inside a plastic baggie, by throwing it out of the window of his vehicle. Narcotic's detectives were able to locate the crack cocaine that Green disposed of, which totaled 7.6 grams. Green was arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine with the intent to Distribute and transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. Green is currently being held on a $15,000.00 bond. A hold has also been placed on Green by Alabama authorities in reference to probation violations.
