The deceased has been identified as Juan Antonio Enrique Rodriguez 12-15-63 H/M see below. The autopsy confirmed foul play and the case is still being investigated as a homicide. The cause of death is not being released at this time. Two persons of interest are in custody on unrelated charges. Their identities are also not being released at this time. Sheriff's Office Investigating the Discovery of a Body Found in Dumpster in Pace

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is currently conducting an investigation at a trailer park in Pace after a body was discovered in a garbage dumpster. The trailer park is located on Bay Cedar Lane off of Jernigan Road . The call came in to Sheriff's Office dispatch this morning shortly before 9 AM after a resident in the trailer park discovered the body of a male in the dumpster. When deputies arrived, they confirmed that there was a dead male inside the dumpster. The case is being investigated as a homicide. The identity of the deceased is not known at this time. Investigators are currently attempting to identify the location that the crime actually occurred. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are known at this time. More information will be released as soon as possible.
