Sheriff
Wendell Hall personally thanked each of the contributors that donated
funds toward the purchase of the Disaster Response Trailer. Donations
were received from Publix, Nextel and the Wal-Mart stores in Pace
and Gulf Breeze. The trailer was painted
from donations from Carpenter's Campers (Mark Carpenter), Cook's
Paint & Body of Milton, and Automotive Painters Supply. The
total cost of the trailer was $52,000.00. This trailer can house
up to ten deputies and equipment, and can be sent to assist other
agencies in the event of a disaster; just as agencies responded
to our aid during Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis. The vehicle can also
be used in the community as a mobile office if needed. A Ford F-350
truck, which is used to pull the trailer, was purchased with homeland
security monies and is used for various functions within the Sheriff's
Office.
