Sheriff Thanks Contributors

Sheriff Wendell Hall personally thanked each of the contributors that donated funds toward the purchase of the Disaster Response Trailer. Donations were received from Publix, Nextel and the Wal-Mart stores in Pace and Gulf Breeze. The trailer was painted from donations from Carpenter's Campers (Mark Carpenter), Cook's Paint & Body of Milton, and Automotive Painters Supply. The total cost of the trailer was $52,000.00. This trailer can house up to ten deputies and equipment, and can be sent to assist other agencies in the event of a disaster; just as agencies responded to our aid during Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis. The vehicle can also be used in the community as a mobile office if needed. A Ford F-350 truck, which is used to pull the trailer, was purchased with homeland security monies and is used for various functions within the Sheriff's Office.
