Milton Man Sentenced in Juvenile Sex Offenses

A Milton man that was arrested in August 2006 for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a child under 12 was sentenced yesterday in Santa Rosa County Court. David Mclendon was sentenced to 25 years, day for day, in State Prison, followed by life probation and sexual predator status with GPS monitoring. This sentence stems from an incident that was reported to Sheriff's Office Investigators in July 2006. The female juvenile victim told investigators that Mclendon had touched her in a sexual manner on four separate occasions over a five to six month time frame in 2006. These incidents occurred at Mclendon's home located in the 5100 block of Nimitz Road, Milton, FL. Mclendon's residence was located across the street from East Milton Elementary School. During these incidents, Mclendon would offer the victim money to conduct sexual acts, once in the amount of $500.00. When Mclendon was interviewed by investigators in August 2006, Mclendon admitted to touching the female juvenile victim in a sexual manner on four different occasions while at his residence. He was arrested on four counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, a 1st degree felony, on August 23, 2006 and was held without bond. A photograph of Mclendon is attached to this email.
