Man Run Over by Truck During Disturbance in Pace Dies from His Injuries

On 01/29/07 at approximately 9:45 pm, deputies responded to a non-family disturbance in the 3800 Block of Rockwood Drive, Pace, FL. When deputies arrived, they found numerous subjects present that were yelling and screaming. One subject (subject #1 who is not being identified at this time) stated that he had been beat by two individuals at that location when he arrived in his pickup truck. Another subject (subject #2 who is not being identified at this time) was lying on the ground complaining of leg and chest pain, stating that subject #1 had run over him with his pickup truck. Two ambulances arrived for both of the subjects and they were transported to West Florida Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries. On 1/30/07, subject #2 (the one who was run over by the truck) died from his injuries. Investigators are currently working the case as a death investigation and no other details, personal information, or circumstances concerning this incident are being released at this time. This is an active investigation. As soon as more information becomes available, it will be released.
