Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Lengthy Investigation and Search
Warrant
During
the afternoon hours of July 19, 2007 , Santa Rosa County Sheriff's
Office Narcotics Investigators conducted a search warrant on a Milton
residence after a lengthy investigation into drug activity. Narcotics
investigators had been investigating Joshua Sylvester (29 years
old) of Milton in reference to his possessing and selling large
amounts of marijuana. This investigation yielded a search warrant
for Sylvester's residence at 5385 Ticonderoga Street, Milton, FL,
which was executed by Narcotics and SWAT Deputies. Sylvester was
present at the residence when the search warrant was executed. The
search warrant revealed a large amount of marijuana (over 2 pounds),
scales, drug paraphernalia, methadone, Viagra, and a large quantity
of firearms. The firearms included assault rifles, assault shotguns,
semi-automatic handguns, and revolvers (including a .50 Caliber
handgun). The search of the residence led investigators to believe
that Sylvester is involved in the large scale dealing of marijuana
in the local area. Sylvester was arrested on the below mentioned
charges and transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. He is being
held on a $16,500.00 bond. A photograph of Sylvester is attached
to this email.
