Arrested in Jay Store Robbery
Santa
Rosa County Sheriff's Office Investigators have arrested the suspect
of yesterday's store robbery in Jay
, FL.
Shane Allen
Dunsford (28 years old) was taken into custody for the robbery,
after being involved in a traffic crash in Century which sent him
to a local hospital with injuries to his arm. Dunsford advised Escambia
County Deputies in Century that he was the individual responsible
for the robbery that occurred in Jay. Dunsford also spoke with Santa
Rosa County Sheriff's Office Investigators concerning the robbery
and admitted to being the individual that robbed the store. After
robbing the store, Dunsford drove to Century and was later involved
in the crash which sent him to the hospital. Dunsford was released
from the hospital late last night, at which time he was arrested
by Santa Rosa Deputies for the robbery. He is currently being held
at the Santa Rosa County Jail with a $10,000.00 bond. Although Dunsford
claims he acted alone in the robbery, Investigators believe that
another suspect may have been involved due to Dunsford entering
the passenger side of the truck prior to fleeing the robbery. If
anyone has information concerning this, they are asked to call Crime
Stoppers at 437-STOP. A photograph of Dunsford is attached to this
email.
