Inmates Earn G.E.D.

Five inmates of the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office were presented their G.E.D. certificates by Sheriff Wendell Hall on April 4, 2007. During the presentation Sheriff Hall told the inmates that their accomplishments spoke well of their determination in changing their lives. Each inmate is given a pre-test to determine their grade level before beginning classes, which last anywhere from three to nine months determining on the amount of work that needs to be completed. The ceremony was attended by the sheriff, Major Woody Seevers, Captain Paul Campbell and Rena Smith and other high ranking officials of the Santa Rosa school system.
