Robbed at Knife Point
On
5/30/07 at approximately 0930 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's
Office Deputies were dispatched to 12200 Chumuckla Highway , Jay,
FL, (Harvest Country Café) in reference to a robbery. The
clerk stated that a white male had entered the store and asked if
the clerk would be able to cash a check for him. When the clerk
opened the register, the suspect pulled out a knife, ordered the
clerk to step away from the register, and then jumped over the counter.
The suspect grabbed the money tray from the cash register and jumped
back over the counter and fled from the store. The suspect got into
the passenger side of a white full size pickup truck which left
north on Chumuckla Highway. The suspect was described as a white
male, early twenties, clean cut, wearing a blue and yellow striped
pullover shirt with faded blue jeans. Responding deputies were not
able to locate the suspect. Sheriff's Office investigators are currently
investigating the robbery. Anyone with information concerning the
robbery or the suspect is asked to call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's
