Captain
Spencer is a twenty-seven year veteran of law enforcement
after serving seven years with the Florida Game and Fish Commission
before coming to the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office in 1986.
He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice
and presently working on his Master's Degree in Public Administration.
He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served
as an instructor in the Elite Force Reconnaissance Unit. He
has completed over 2,000 hours of specialized training with
a major emphasis on Criminal Investigations and has served
as a patrol deputy, patrol supervisor, criminal investigator,
narcotic supervisor, court security supervisor, district lieutenant,
and is presently serving as the captain in charge of major
crimes, narcotics, Impact Management Unit (A.I.M.), court
security, warrants, victims advocates, crime scene, and the
evidence unit.
