Milton Woman Being Sought on Prescription Drug Charges

Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Narcotic's Detectives are currently looking for a Milton woman who is wanted for dealing in prescription medications. Narcotics Detectives were able to conduct controlled purchases of pills from the suspect on three separate occasions. The suspect, Betsy Allen, has outstanding felony warrants due to these illegal sales. Narcotics detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for Allen's residence. A search warrant was executed on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 , at her home which is located in the 8600 block of Indian Ford Road . Allen was not present at the home at the time of the search warrant. Detectives found suitcases full of prescription medications, totaling over 12,000 pills. Detectives also located 29 firearms inside a safe which also contained controlled substances. Two of the recovered firearms are believed to be stolen and property detectives are currently conducting follow-up investigations on all of the recovered firearms.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating Allen. Allen uses many aliases, which are listed below. It is believed that Allen has been exploiting elderly citizens in the community in order to obtain their prescriptions so that she can profit from the illegal dealing of controlled substances. Anyone in the community that has had contact with Allen and believes that they may be a victim of her activity is asked to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division at 981-2140, or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP.
