"OPERATION NO LIMIT" Concludes: Yields Numerous Federal and State Arrests

At 6am this morning, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, went throughout Milton and Bagdad in order to arrest 41 suspects wanted on drug related charges. The Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the DEA, ATF, FDLE and the U.S. Attorney's Office concluded a 2 year investigation relating to a large scale conspiracy involving the distribution of cocaine throughout the Milton/Bagdad Area. The investigation began in 2006 and was titled "OPERATION NO LIMIT". The investigation began after narcotics officers found that Limit Street (located in Bagdad , FL ) had become an open aired drug market, riddled with crime and illegal activity. Once Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Narcotics Officers found that the investigation was developing into a major narcotics case, federal agencies were notified to assist in the investigation. Evidence gathered during the investigation yielded 20 drug related federal arrest warrants, and 21 drug related state arrest warrants.

The group of suspects involved in the conspiracy is believed to be responsible for multiple shootings where at least two people were shot, and several home invasion robberies. All of the suspects that are being charged federally are being charged with conspiracy with the intent to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine, or 50 grams or more of crack cocaine. Those facing state charges were arrested on charges stemming from illegal activity involving drugs such as cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, methamphetamine, and ecstasy. During the undercover portion of the operation, over 1100 grams of powder cocaine and 130 grams of crack cocaine were purchased from various suspects. These arrests mark the conclusion of the second major drug operation within the past three years in the Milton area. The conclusion of this operation is expected to have a great impact on the reduction of drug activity and crime in Santa Rosa County . The Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation into the assets that have been accumulated by these individuals over the past two years. Six vehicles were seized today, and more seizures of assets is expected.
