CARJACKING SUSPECT ARRESTED

Donald Paul Johnson was arrested yesterday evening by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office. On 4/14/10 , Escambia deputies responded to 7217 Dogwood Terrace in reference to Donald “Pablo” Johnson who was wanted by the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office on charges of Carjacking with a Firearm, Vehicle Theft, and Possession of Firearm by a Convicted FelonJohnson was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident. Johnson was transported to the jail and Santa Rosa was notified.The stolen vehicle was also recovered at the scene and turned over to the SRSO. Johnson is being held without bond and will be transferred today to the Santa Rosa County Jail.

 

Sheriff's Office Investigating Early Morning Carjacking in Pace

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding the suspect responsible for an early morning carjacking that occurred in Pace, FL. On April 14, 2010 at approximately 0430 hours, while at the intersection of West Spencerfield Road and North Spencerfield Road, the suspect (Donald Paul Johnson, B/M, 47 years old) brandished a handgun in the face of the victim, who was driving Johnson to an address in Pace. Johnson ordered the victim to exit the vehicle, and pushed the victim out of the car. Johnson then fled the scene in the victim's 1997 Honda 4 door, Dark Green in color (FL Tag M412MU). Johnson has not been located at the time of this release. A warrant was issued today for the arrest of Johnson on the below mentioned charges. Johnson should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public.

 

Investigators are diligently working the case and are asking anyone with information concerning the carjacking, or information that could lead to Johnson's arrest, to contact Santa Rosa County Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP or the Sheriff's Office at 983-1190. Information provided to Crime Stoppers that leads to the arrest of a suspect may result in a cash reward of up to $1000.00. A photograph of Johnson is attached to this email, as well as a redacted copy of the report.

Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Vehicle Theft, Robbery/Carjacking with a Firearm, NO BOND
