Sheriff's Office Asking For Public's Help in Locating Milton Man Wanted for Felony Domestic Violence Charges

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted suspect after he severely beat a family member. On 5/09/09 , Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a location in reference to a battery complaint. Deputies were told by a family member of the victim that the victim had been badly beaten by the suspect, Gregory Skelton. During the incident, Skelton entered a residence without permission in an attempt to locate the victim. He then beat the victim in the face with his fists, and threatened other family members with a crow bar and a tire iron. After the beating took place, Skelton and the victim both got into Skelton's vehicle. As Skelton drove away, witnesses stated that he was yelling that he was going to kill the victim. One of the victim's family members was able to get the victim away from Skelton and take her to a safe location to contact law enforcement.

 

Based on the injuries to the victim and statements gathered from witnesses, warrants were issued for the arrest of Skelton. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Skelton is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP or the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office at 983-1190. A photograph of Skelton is attached to this email.

Last known address: 6500 Block of Rosasco Street , Milton , FL

Charges:

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY (Domestic Violence)

BATTERY (Domestic Violence)

DAMAGE PROPERTY-CRIM MISCHIEF OVER 200 DOLLARS UNDER 1000 DOLLARS

BURGLARY WITH ASSAULT OR BATTERY
