On 3/07/08 , shortly after 1730 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to 6506 Calle De Lago , Navarre , Florida in reference to a call involving an intoxicated person. When deputies arrived on scene, they found that they were dealing with a subject that was armed and barricaded inside of his residence. Family members that were present at the residence prior to the deputies arrival stated that the adult male subject inside became irrational after drinking and taking some unknown medications. They also stated that the subject inside had armed himself with a semi-automatic handgun and had already fired off four rounds inside the residence as they were leaving.
