Sheriff's Office Looking For Suspect That Preys on Unattended Purses

The Santa Rosa's County Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify a black female responsible for approximately 13 wallet thefts that have occurred at the Walmart in Navarre and Pace, and the Publix and Winn Dixie in Pace.  The suspect follows her victims around and when the victims are not looking, the suspect removes their wallets from inside their purses placed in the shopping carts.  Several victims noticed the suspect following them around in the store while the suspect was in close proximity to them.  Several of the victim's credit cards were used after they were stolen to purchase gift cards and other items in Okaloosa County and also in Enterprise , Alabama . The suspect may be traveling in a maroon sedan, possibly a later model Chevy Malibu or Impala (photo of vehicle attached).  The suspect may also walk with a limp.
