Pace Resident Dies After Falling From a Ladder

 

On 12/023/08 at approximately 1545 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 5000 Block of Ponitz Parkway (Woodbine Springs Subdivision). When deputies arrived, medical personnel were already on scene. The homeowner, William Edward Yeager, was in the back yard of his residence trimming tree branches from an oak tree with a chainsaw while on an extension ladder. While cutting one of the limbs, the limb fell, knocking him from the extension ladder causing him to fall approximately 15 feet. Yeager landed on a concrete slab below. Yeager was pronounced deceased at the scene. Sheriff's Office investigators, the Medical Examiners Office, and Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Technicians are currently investigating the case. It is currently believed to be a tragic accident. No more details are available at this time of this release.
