Navarre Woman Re-Arrested After Violating GPS Conditions and Interfering With Child Custody: Same Juvenile Victim Present With Her When Arrested

A Navarre woman was arrested earlier this evening after the Sheriff's Office received a GPS violation alarm from her monitoring device. Sheila Langman is under Sheriff's Office GPS supervision after being arrested for Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a juvenile on 10/13/2008. During the October incident, Sheriff's Office investigators determined that Langman was involved in a sexual relationship with a 15 year old male. The investigation revealed that Langman had been sexually involved on multiple occasions with the child between the months of July and September 2008. After Langman's arrest on 10/13/2008, she was released on bond with GPS monitoring on 10/15/2008. On 2/13/2009 at 1938 hours, the Sheriff's Office received a GPS alarm showing that Langman had entered into an exclusionary zone near the juvenile victim's residence. Deputies immediately went to the area, as dispatch relayed GPS coordinates showing where Langman was driving in her vehicle. Deputies located Langman's vehicle traveling on Misty Meadows Court in Navarre and conducted a traffic stop. When they made contact with Langman, they found that the 15 year old victim from the previous case was present in the vehicle with Langman. Langman was ordered by a judge to not have any unsupervised contact with any minors as part of her release conditions. Langman was immediately arrested for violating her conditions of release and transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. Langman was also charged with interference with child custody and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Langman is currently in the Santa Rosa County Jail with no bond. A photograph of Langman is attached to this email.
