Suspects Arrested in Two Navarre Business Robberies

Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Investigators have made four arrests in reference to two separate business robberies that occurred in Navarre , FL during December 2008 and January 2009. On 12/11/08 at 2215 hours, an armed robbery was reported at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Highway 98 in Navarre . During that robbery, three subjects entered the store wearing yellow bandanas and Halloween masks concealing their faces. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. On 1/22/09 at 2041 hours, an armed robbery was reported at the Burger King on Highway 98 in Navarre . A female employee at Burger King ran next door to the Waffle House and stated that the Burger King was being robbed. Two suspects entered the store, one brandishing a rifle. The investigation into both robberies has been ongoing since there occurrences.

Interviews over the past few months developed suspects in both cases. Donovan Brown was interviewed and admitted to investigators that he participated in both robberies. He was arrested for his involvement on 4/29/09 . (Charges listed below). Andrew Morgan was also interviewed by investigators and admitted that he participated in the Burger King robbery with Donovan. Morgan was arrested for his involvement on 4/29/09 . A third suspect was interviewed by investigators (Wesley Matthews) and also admitted to participating in the robbery of the Kentucky Fried Chicken. A fourth suspect, Kenneth Brewer, was interviewed by investigators and told them that he had participated in the robbery by placing a call to 911 in reference to a false armed robbery occurring in a different area in an effort to remove law enforcement from the area of the Kentucky Fried Chicken so it could be robbed. Brewer received money from Donovan Brown for placing the phone call. Brewer was arrested on 4/30/09 for his involvement. One more suspect is currently being sought by law enforcement for his involvement in the KFC case. This suspect is Terrill Landers, W/M, 23 years old from Navarre , FL. Charges:

Wearing Mask During Felony (2 counts), Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony (2 counts), Robbery with a Firearm (2 counts). NO BOND

Suspect 2:

Wesley Kyle Matthews, W/M, 22 years old, 8100 Block of Menorca St., Navarre, FL

Charges:

Wearing Mask During Felony (1 count), Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony (1 count), Robbery with a Firearm (1 count). NO BOND

Suspect 3:

Andrew Lee Morgan, A/M, 25 years old, 2600 Block of Oxmore Drive, Navarre, FL

Charges:

Wearing Mask During Felony (1 count), Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony (1 count), Robbery with a Firearm (1 count). NO BOND

Suspect 4:

Kenneth Wayne Brewer, W/M, 22 years old, 2200 Block of Fulva Drive, Navarre, FL

Charges:

Robbery with a Firearm (1 count). NO BOND
