Navarre Burger King Robbed at Gun Point

On 1/22/09 at 2041 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the Burger King located on Highway 98 in Navarre in reference to an armed robbery. A female employee at Burger King ran next door to the Waffle House and stated that the Burger King was being robbed. The Sheriff's Office also received a hold up alarm from the Burger King. According to employees, to Hispanic or Asian males entered the Burger King and committed an armed robbery. One of the suspects was brandishing a rifle. One of the suspects jumped the counter and went to the safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Both suspects then fled on foot out the rear door of the Burger King. The suspects were last seen wearing yellow bandanas over their faces, grey hoodie sweatshirts, and blue jeans. A K-9 and helicopter search was conducted with negative results. The suspects are not known at this time. No further descriptions of the suspects are available. Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the identities of the suspects to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office at 983-1190, or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP.
