Nine
Defendants Sentenced for Methamphetamine Manufacturing and Distribution
Nine
Santa Rosa County residents were recently sentenced in Federal court
for their involvement in a drug conspiracy case. The nine defendants
were all charged with conspiracy to manufacture/ distribute 500
grams or more of methamphetamine and conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine
with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. The case involved more
than 625 boxes of pseudoephedrine which equates to over 6000 pseudoephedrine
tablets; all to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The
case lasted for 14 months: November 2008 through January 2010. 536
grams of methamphetamine were seized during the investigation. Seven
meth labs were found and dismantled. One firearm was also seized.
There were also 22 defendants that were arrested on State charges
surrounding the investigation. The attached chart shows the defendants
and their sentences. All will be serving their time in Federal Prison.
