Sheriff Helps Kid's House Fundraiser

Sheriff Hall and his staff assisted in the Santa Rosa Kid's House fund raiser on the River Walk on December 13, 2008. The main event was to promote community safety through a joint effort between Milton Police Deptartment and the Sheriff's Office. Eddie Eagle, the NRA Child Gun Safety character was on hand as gun safety materials and free gun locks were given out to the public. Deputies from the SWAT and K-9 teams performed demonstrations while NAS Whiting provided a helicopter and portable a surveillance tower for all to see. A crime prevention display was on hand in addition to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 123 who operated a booth and gave out holiday safety booklets to the attendees. The motorcycle group called Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) were also present to help support the collection of clothing and toys for the Santa Rosa Kids House.
