Milton Man Arrested After Exposing Himself to Bus Load of Middle School Students

On 2/28/2011 at approximately 1700 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an indecent exposure complaint which occurred in the area of 5566 Russell Drive, Milton, FL. The complaint came in from a bus driver for Durham Transportation that was driving her bus route from Hobbs Middle School. The bus driver stated that while she was travelling south on Russell Drive towards Berryhill Road, she observed a male subject standing in the driveway of 5566 Russell Drive exposing his genitalia as he stared at the passing school bus. Students on the bus also observed Kahl exposing himself, and stated that Kahl’s pants were around his ankles while he was doing this. The driver was able to give a detailed description of the suspect and reported it to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies went to 5566 Russell Drive and found Kahl wearing the exact clothing that was described by the bus driver. Kahl’s photograph was placed in a photo lineup and shown to the bus driver. Kahl was positively identified as the person that exposed himself to the driver and the students on the bus. Approximately 40-45 students were on the bus at the time of the incident; all under the age of 16. Kahl was arrested for Indecent Exposure and Lewd/Lascivious Exhibition in the presence of a victim less than 16 years of age. Kahl is being held at the Santa Rosa County Jail with no bond.
