Milton Man Arrested for Sexual Assault

On August 6 th , 2008 , the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Florida Department of Children and Families in reference to the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. The preliminary reports that were made to the Department of Children and Families alleged that the victim (under 12 years of age) had been sexually assaulted after being allowed by the victim's guardian to stay overnight at the home of the suspect. According to the allegations, the suspect, Michael William Madden (DOB 12/15/81 WM), assaulted the victim on or about July 12, 2008 while she was asleep in Madden's bed. The incident occurred at Madden's home located on Plymouth Street in Milton , Florida . The victim was interviewed at the Gulf Coast Kid's house by Child Protection Team members. The victim repeated the same allegations during the interview that was conducted at the Kid's House. Madden was interviewed on Monday August 11, 2008 by Sheriff's Office investigators at which time Madden fully admitted to the allegations made by the victim. Madden was arrested and booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail and is currently being held with no bond. A photograph of Madden is attached to this email.
