Law Enforcement Honor Guards to Conduct Training This Week in Santa Rosa with United States Air Force

 

 

The United States Air Force at Hurlburt Field in conjunction with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a five day multi-jurisdictional Honor Guard training. The purpose of this training is to provide guidance and a base line for Honor Guard movements and protocol to local law enforcement so that they will be fully trained should the unfortunate incident arise and their services are needed. This training will foster teamwork and partnership amongst the local Law Enforcement Honor Guards to ultimately enhance their capability to meet any challenge through a collaborative effort.

The training will consist of the following elements: standing and rifle manuals, firing party, pallbearers, flag folding, uniform inspection and a mock funeral. The training that will be taught is in accordance with, or influenced from, the USAF HG training manual.Training will be held August 31-September 4, 2009, from 0800-1700 hours each day at the East Milton Sports Complex- located in Santa Rosa County, Florida, at the intersection of Highway 90 and East Milton Rd,(cross the railroad tracks, then take the 1 st street on right; follow the road until you reach the center).There is no cost associated with this training.
