Sheriff's
Office Investigating Sunday Morning Burglary to Business
The
Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help
in finding the suspect responsible for an early morning burglary
that occurred on April
4 th , 2010 .
At approximately 0300 hours, the Sheriff's Office received an alarm
call at 3840 Highway 90, Pace, FL (Gulf Coast Outdoors). When deputies
arrived, they saw that the glass on the front door had been shattered
by a brick. A perimeter was quickly set up and a Sheriff's Office
K-9 responded to the scene. When deputies entered the business,
they found that there were numerous firearms that appeared to be
missing from the firearms display. The K-9 track ended after it
was found that the suspect had a vehicle waiting nearby and had
fled prior to the arrival of deputies. The owner of the business
arrived at the request of deputies to determine what had been taken
from inside the business. After inventorying the firearms, it was
determined that the suspect/s stole a total of 9 rifles and 1 compound
bow, along with approximately 12 carbon arrows. The stolen property
was valued in excess of $6000.00. No suspects are known at this
time. Investigators are diligently working the case and are asking
anyone with information concerning the burglary, or information
that could lead to the recovery of the firearms, to contact Santa
Rosa County Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP or the Sheriff's Office at
983-1190. Information provided to Crime Stoppers that leads to the
arrest of a suspect may result in a cash reward of up to $1000.00.
