Fireworks Safety

Sheriff Wendell Hall would like to join his law enforcement officers in hoping that everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July holiday. To ensure your safety and protection please be aware that the following fireworks are prohibited by law in the State of Florida for normal retail sales: (a) common Bottle Rockets (b) Standard Firecrackers (c) MBO's with Mortar (d) Firecrackers (Rolls (e) Launchable Rockets with Stands (f) Projectile Fireworks and (g) Standard Fireworks. Not prohibited are items such as smoke devices, party poppers, snappers and snakes. Unlawful fireworks or illegal sparklers are subject to seizure by law enforcement, pursuant to Section 791.05, Florida Statutes. Please remember these laws are in force for a reason and that reason is safety. Each year thousands of people are injured due to improper use of deadly fireworks especially among young children.
