Drug Bust Yields Large Quantity of Ecstasy, Assault Rifles, Handguns, and Tactical Bullet Proof Vests

On July 18, 2008 , Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Narcotic's Detectives arrested a Milton man for his involvement in the possession and distribution of Ecstasy. Ecstasy is one of the most dangerous drugs threatening our young people today. It is a synthetic chemical and is also one of the easiest illegal drugs to obtain. Ecstasy's effects are similar to those of amphetamines and hallucinogens. And it has become very popular at social events like raves, parties, and concerts frequented by both adults and youth.

On July 18, 2008 , detectives conducted surveillance of Antonio Davis. During the surveillance, Davis was observed delivering a large quantity of Ecstasy pills to an individual at a location off of Avalon Boulevard . The amount delivered by Davis was 149 Ecstasy pills. Detectives took Davis into custody at that time. Davis acknowledged that he had driven to an area off of Avalon Boulevard in order to deliver Ecstasy to an individual. Narcotic's detectives and Santa Rosa SWAT then conducted a search warrant on Davis ' residence located at 6680 Dalisa Road , Milton , FL. When the search warrant was executed, detectives located 885 additional Ecstasy pills, and four glass vials of steroids. Various items of drug paraphernalia were also located, including digital scales, drug packaging materials, and a baggie containing marijuana seeds. Davis verified that he had been involved in the distribution of Ecstasy and marijuana. Detectives also located numerous firearms, to include one assault rifle and handguns. Davis was also found to have three tactical bullet proof vests at the residence. The vests were equipped with tactical ceramic plates which are capable of stopping rounds fired from a rifle. Detectives also seized two vehicles at the scene and $3000.00 cash. The street value of the Ecstasy that was seized is estimated at $20,000.00 to $25,000.00. Davis is currently being held in the Santa Rosa County Jail on a $50,000.00 bond. A photograph of Davis is attached to this email.
