SRSO Deputy Heads for Iraq

Deputy Curtis McQuaid is being deployed to Kuwait and Iraq with his National Guard unit, the 153rd Cavalry Regiment. Over 130 soldiers of the unit said their goodbyes to their families on January 7, 2010 and began the arduous journey to protect this nation's freedom. Sheriff Wendell Hall and the men and women of this agency wish Deputy McQuaid and his comrades the best of luck in their heroic endeavor in behalf of this country. Already deployed to Iraq is Deputy Danny Michael with the US Navy and just returned is Deputy John Younghanse with the US Army. To all the men and women of this department who have fulfilled their duty we give a heartfelt thank you.
