SANTA ROSA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

URGENT PRESS RELEASE

“SILVER ALERT” ISSUED FOR MISSING MAN

01/04/10

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating an elderly man suffering from Alzheimers. George M. Brown (B/M, 75 years old) was last seen on 01/04/10 at 1000 hours at a traffic light in Pace, FL. Brown was following his wife as they took a vehicle of theirs to a repair shop in Santa Rosa County. Brown's wife made it through the traffic light on Highway 90 in front of Home Depot, however George Brown got stopped at the light. George Brown never showed up at the repair shop and has not been seen or heard from by his family and wife. George is driving a 1994 Ford Explorer (green in color) with military identification decals on the front windshield. At 1947 hours, George Brown used a credit card at a gas station in Quincy, FL, at an Amoco Station located at 1524 West Jefferson Street. Law enforcement believe that Brown may have continued to travel east bound on Highway 90. A “Silver Alert” has been issued for Brown by the Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearing House. Anyone with information concerning Brown's whereabouts or the location of his vehicle is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency. A photograph of Brown is attached, however it was taken in 1999. No newer photograph is available at this time.
